6,000 runners competed on October 13 in the first anual “Hope Marathon,” sponsored by Korea Nazarene University. KNU partnered with the city of Cheonan (where KNU is located) to host this major sporting event, which included a 5 & 10K run. Donations from the charity event will be used to support the rehabilitation center at KNU.

Major departments from KNU were represented along with many professors and staff. KNU plans to continue the tradition set by this first successful Hope Marathon and would like to welcome 100 participants from abroad to help celebrate the centennial anniversary of the International Church of the Nazarene at the 2nd Hope Marathon in October 2008.
