The Parachute Band who came all the way from New Zealand, had a taste of what it’s like to worship in the Philippines last November 23, 2007 at the Crossroads 77 convenarium.
At crunch time before the concert, PR (Perfect Rhythm) host Jordan Escusa and the WM Communications crew ambushed them for an interview to be aired on the PR youth radio program. Sam and Omega, the official spokes persons for the group gave valuable background about their music ministry.

Coming from a country where there are more sheep than people, the Parachute band had a record ministry performance attended by around 30,000 young people in New Zealand at one point in time. All were blessed by the testimony of Omega, the Samoan vocalist who at one point expressed: "I want to end my life due to low self-image but God lifted me up, and now I worship Him with the band."
In the same event, the whole crew also got to know about Rapture Rockus, a rapping evangelist who also front acts and does the technical sound set-up for the Parachute band.
At Parachute's recent Manila gig, the audience was also given the opportunity to hear local artist Acel Bisa Van Omen expressing a soulful rendition of some of her original songs.
The event was coordinated by Praise Incorporated, one of the main providers of music CDs for Perfect Rhythm. You can catch the interview details and the music of Parachute Band through our podcast at perfectrhythm.fm and wmc-ap.org.
