WMB Program Remains A Faithful Late Night Companion For University Students

For twelve years now, World Mission Broadcast programs on the Asia-Pacific Region have been a source of companionship, encouragement and hope for millions of university students. In partnership with Transworld Radio, we continue to support the program "Awake with the Angels" (AWTA) which was designed specifically for university students in places where there was little or no access to other forms of instruction or encouragement, including conventional radio, TV, publications or fellowships. Even today, after many years of development, many places, especially rural areas, still rely on short-wave broadcasts for information from the outside world. In the cities, of course, this is rapidly changing. Most urban citizens, including university students, have access to computers and the internet. There are some websites with sensitive political or religious content that are blocked. But the majority of online information is freely accessible, including websites that provide Life-giving nurture, inspiration & downloadable content. For this reason, TWR is putting many of its broadcasts on the world wide web. The same programs that are recorded for radio broadcast can be listened to online.

AWTA continues to be one of the most popular programs aired by TWR. This is based on listener response in the form of postal letters, emails & web-based responses. TWR has staff who respond to every letter received--answering questions, providing counsel and directing people to appropriate passages in the Word.

The listeners of AWTA and the staff of TWR wish to extend their appreciation to all the faithful supporters of World Mission Broadcast.
