On October 6, Indonesia Church of the Nazarene conducted a Blood Donation Program at the Indonesia Nazarene Theological College (INTC) compound as part of the weeklong centennial celebration of the Church of the Nazarene in Indonesia slated on October 6-11, 2008.
For most of those at the college, giving blood was a new experience, resulting in fear and but also appreciation for the opportunity. The day before, the president explained to the students that all should have compassion enough to face the fear of the needle to take blood. Both adults and children were allowed to watch so that event the young could understand the importance of giving one’s blood to help others.

Jenla, a new student from Nias, Indonesia asked; "Nurse, does what I feel right now have any impact on the blood transfer?" The nurse asked, "Why do you ask about it?" Jenla responded, "Because I’m so glad to think that my blood will flow into the body of someone who needs it." The nurse just smiled.
In the end, not all those who registered were able to give their blood. Some had low hemoglobin, low weight, or had recently taken medicine. 29 people were successful. Each gave 250 cc of blood.
Praise God!
