Hey friends!
My new job at Joy FM is now a reality!
I am in Union City western Ohio / eastern Indiana (literally on the border between the two states). I've been at the new job a week and I like it a lot. I would be lying if I said it isn't an adjustment. I just moved to my own apartment in a brand new neighborhood where I only knew one person (I know a few more now). On top of that, a new job and a lot more hours on the radio every day than I've ever had before. It is quite a challenge, but I'm taking it one day at a time.
I need to thank everyone who has been praying for me. I tell you, I am blessed, blessed, blessed! So many friends who are supporting me and lifting me up in prayer. Please continue to pray for me. It is a tough transition, to be honest. But deep down, I have a wonderful, God-given peace that He has me right where I'm supposed to be.
Funny story - I'm getting moved into my apartment and I had to call the landlord for a few repairs and questions the other day. He came out to fix some things for me. One of them was the light in the living room. It's a ceiling fan. I can pull the cord for the fan, but I can't pull the cord to turn the lights on, so I was without any light in my living room. So the landlord came out with all his tools and he was looking at it. I was in the kitchen, then all of a sudden he asks me, "Did you turn out these bulbs?" I said no I hadn't, and I walk in the room, and here he is, screwing in the light bulbs and they all worked! So the cord really doesn't work, but all this time I could have had light and all I needed to do was tighten the bulbs! ![]()
In case you're interested, the station's website is www.889joyfm.com and you can find my picture and bio under Meet the Staff. I am on the air every afternoon for the "Workday Wrap-up" from 3-7pm. (For my friends in the Philippines...sayang, you will be asleep!)
Thanks for reading and keep me updated on your lives! God bless!
Naomi
