Congratulations & kudos to our 2005 Summer Intern, Naomi “Crazy
Sister” Miller on her new job as DJ at JOY-FM! After her Summer internship with us here at WMC-AP in
Manila, Naomi returned to Mt. Vernon Nazarene University to finish her
Broadcast Communication Degree. After
graduating in May 2006, Naomi spent the next year and a half serving as a youth
pastor at her local church in
“I GOT THE JOB!!!
I have been hired at JOY-FM in Union City, Ohio
as of August 6th,
2007!”
For starters, Naomi will be on the air from 3-7 each afternoon. (You can listen to her online @ Joy-FM). Once she gets adjusted to that job, she may have opportunity to work as the station’s music director “ something she did very well at WNZR while in college.
In addition to the job, God has been providing in other ways for Naomi. In another email she wrote: “On Saturday, I went to Greenville with my mom and my sister to look for an apartment. I didn't expect to find my place right away, but I did! Long story short, I got a very nice place for a very low cost with very nice owners and I'm very excited... can you tell? Haha! The official first rent date is August 1st, but they gave me the key and said I can come anytime to move stuff in or whatever I want to do.”
We’re happy for Naomi and proud of her. We know she’ll continue to bring joy to many people, on and off the air!
