Rich Swingle made a short stop-over in the Philippines to minister to the APNTS community, as part of his Asian tour of acting workshops. Direct

where he re-enacted Eric Liddell’s heroic story, Mr. Swingle flew in and
performed on Friday, January 19 to a full house at WM Communications Studios.
The head of Owens School of Missions, Dr. Robert Donahue, coordinated the project with WM Communications AP (WMC AP) and Fairbanks School of Communications (FSC). Video production students of FSC taped the event for use in a future drama workshop video. WMC AP also provided personnel to supervise the whole production, to help develop the skills of the students for live settings.

Picking up from Eric Liddell’s Chariots of Fire story, Rich Swingle made some excerpts from his theater production entitled Beyond the Chariots. One specific example he performed with volunteer actors from the audience was the piece As the Bird Flies Home. He also covered other forms of acting like improvisation, mime, dramatic reading monologue, social drama, and musicale.
