MANILA, Philippines - Faith Comes by Hearing (FCBH) ministry visits WM Communications Asia-Pacific (WMC-AP) in June 2008 to pursue a Hiligaynon audio bible recording within WMC’s facility. In networking with the Philippine Bible Society (PBS), this is the second time that WMC has become a part of FCBH’s thrust to record the New Testament in a particular language group and in a dramatized format primarily for the benefit of the blind while extending it to any others who needs an audio bible.
As the project unfolds, it's been amazing to learn that not only the intended audience would be ministered to by the project. Even at the time of recording, God's Word already started to reach out! El Rey, one the audio talents wept on the set while reading Romans 8. He was struck with the depth of God's grace and confided with Pastor Mijares, one of the proof hearer. He shared that all his life, the only sin that he had not done was to kill a person. Now after reading Romans 8 he realized how great God's love is, and he can't help but respond to Him. We pray that more people like El Rey will be touched along the way.

“Hiligaynon” is the third major language in the Philippines and is spoken generally in Ilo-ilo and the Negros provinces in the Visayas group of islands. Migration has now brought them to other parts of the country, and from there extends to the Filipinos in other parts of the world.
The month-long recording is headed by Adrian and Jasmine Lee, a Hong Kong-based couple who work as professional technicians engaged by FCBH.
Prior to this project, a Cebuano audio bible recording was done by the same group at WMC’s studio two years ago.

For this partnership, WMC AP provides the talents, the facilities & top of the line microphone equipments, coordination, inclusive of accommodation arrangements while FCBH provides the funding, technical personnel, proof-hearers, and portable recording equipments. PBS on their part provides the Hiligaynon bibles and leads for audio talents.
