FSC Students Take Charge In The Women's Conference

Covering more than 100 participants from all over Asia Pacific, the students of Fairbanks School of Communications (FSC) are on a tight schedule for the First Asia-Pacific Wesleyan Holiness Women & Clergy Leadership Conference happening at the Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) from January 29 to February 1, 2007.

Starting early January this year, Rev. Rovina Hatcher, the coordinator of the women’s conference engaged the help of WM Communications Asia Pacific ( WMC AP) and FSC for audio and video requirements to cover the whole event as it happens. WMC AP pledged support by allowing the use of media equipments, facilities, and giving staff supervision. Respectively, FSC pooled the Communication students to be the media manpower for the four-day event.

The eight-man team of FSC students, with three personnel from WMC AP supervising them, hopes to  learn the ropes of live event recording as they see their role as a valuable ministry in itself for the present and future generation.

The conference features special workshops and worship services for the women participants to be further equipped in their ministry. Such include Media in the Church, Marriage and Family Crisis Counseling, Narrative Preaching, Music in Worship, English Bible Studies, Teaching Tools, Creative Ministries, and many other valuable activities.
