Manila, Philippines - SWITCHFOOT, one of the hottest Contemporary Christian and mainstream bands got on the Coaster which belonged to the Work & Witness arm of the church of the Nazarene in the Asia Pacific region. The concert organizers got hold of Greg Taylor, a servant leader in-charge of work & witness projects and next thing you know, Switchfoot got to ride the bus. They came to the Philippines for a benefit concert for International Justice Mission (IJM) at the Cuneta Astrodome on September 10, 2007. During their stay, our very own Nazarene Coaster gave them a lift to and from the airport, a city tour, the concert venue and hotel.

“This bus usually carried missionaries called work and witness team. This time, it was a "Rock and Witness team”, according to Perfect Rhythm DJ Jordan Escusa, who became the band’s official Philippine tour guide. Nanding Emancino, who didn’t really know the band but said that his kids did, was the official driver. He had no problems being starstruck because to him, it was just another routine pickup and drive. For the rest of us though, it was one astig (cool) historical moment.
