Lighting The Way Through Partnership

___________ !  Camera!  Action!.........?   CUT!  Hey something's missing in this sequence!  What happened to the LIGHTS?

We all know that lighting is one of the MOST important elements of film making and videography.   Without good lights and talented people to use them, we could not capture powerful images and stories on film/tape. 

It just so happens that God has blessed WM Communications Asia-Pacific (WMC-AP) with a set of pretty good lights.  And since God's blessings are for sharing, WMC-AP signed an agreement on January 10, 2007 to partner with AP Media by providing them with a set of field lights for use in their collaborative production of the film "REBOUND".  This Tagalog film is designed to be an evangelistic tool to communicate a clear and relevant message to Filipino youth.  It's based on the story of a young basketball star conveying a contemporary message about life, relationships, forgiveness, and starting over.

As much as we also wanted to share our manpower with them, our production staff was already committed to other important projects at this time.  So at the very least we decided to offer what we could -- LIGHTS!  So, in a way I guess you could say we are helping to "light the way" for this project.  And since our lights our involved in the process, that means WE are involved.   We care about this project, we agree with it, and we are also committed to partnering through PRAYER.

With Sword Productions as the main partner, Asia Pacific Media Ministries said that they “will produce this film for young adults in the Philippines since 50% of Filipinos are under the age of 20. This will be one of the first evangelism films targeting a youth audience.  Production has begun in mid-January. The movie will be released through national television and DVD marketing.”

The shooting process is now complete, and the editors are now in post-production, hoping to complete this project sometime in 2007.   Please join with us to pray for Steve Cadd, Jeff Gregory and their entire crew during the editing process of REBOUND.   Here are a few other specific requests to pray for along with our WM Communications team:

* Wisdom, strength, encouragement for the film directors and editors as they weed through hours of footage, selecting the best takes...that they will be in tune with the creative Holy Spirit.

* That the film will be well-received by the entertainment & Christian community and be well-promoted to the public.

* That the film will truly express God's grace and love and draw thousands of young people to commit their lives to Christ.
