This week Jorge Casas has been assigned by the South America Region Communications office to take the lead on the 100 Plus International Film Fest for South America. SAM Regional Communications Coordinator, Brian Utter says, "We are excited to see how our viral email campaign has already spread throughout our region and beyond."

"HCJB radio and their satellite network ALAS will be interviewing Jorge in the near future to help promote the festival, which will probably open this up to the larger evangelical community!" Utter also reported that COICOM will be doing a front page news release on their website in the near future, and Christian Ventura of NYI South America are helping us connect with their social networks. "We are attempting to use any means possible...and working at record pace to get the word out."

For any further information or questions about SAM's involvement in 100+ Plus, please contact Jorge Casas at jecasas@gmail.com or (54-2322) 480-306 ext. 217.

  1. Hi...I guess you might call this a "fleece", but I'm trying to find out what God wants me to do. I was a missionary with World Gospel Mission for 22 years, but had to resign because I have fibromyalgia and traveling long distances for deputation (fund raising) became impossible for me. While with WGM, I served on the American Indian Field, working with children and assisting in the main office as administrative assistant to the Principal and Superintendent. I have a brother-in-law who grew up in Tasmania, and the more I see and read about it, the more interested I am in seeing if God has something for me "down under." I currently live in Ohio, USA, and have applied for social security disability benefits. After 6 months of waiting, I was denied. I've secured a lawyer to appeal, but wondering if the rejection was God intervening. So, if I might receive some kind of positive response from you I'll possibly know I'm looking in the right direction. Thank you, and God bless you. Karen Zimmerman
