Summary

World Mission Communications Asia Pacific (WMC-AP) is a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene endeavoring to communicate the message of the gospel to the world “by all means possible.” By resourcing the Church of the Nazarene and other partnering ministries, organizations, and agencies with creative communications media including video, audio, print, and multimedia productions we are seeing this vision becoming a reality.

Our receptionist is a vital member of the WMC-AP team. They are the “face” our organization often being the one who makes the first impression on our visitors and clients when they visit our facility. They care for all communication (incoming and outgoing) for our organization making sure that each message is properly routed. They accommodate each guest who enters our studio making sure that each is having their needs met while being made conformable and introduced to WMC-AP. Our receptionist also makes sure that our lobby is organized and always ready to welcome visitors. Additionally they help manage our client databases, digital resources, and other office tasks as needed.

Candidates should be friendly, outgoing, and organized. They should be able to communicate confidently and clearly to individuals and groups including WMC-AP staff, clients, and visitors. They should be able to warmly greet visitors, make them feel welcome, and quickly determine their need and how best to help them. They should also have organizational skills allowing them to prioritize each task and duty assigned.

Key requirements include:
  • Graduate of Office Administration or any related course or 1 year equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Friendly, outgoing, personality

 

Duties

The Receptionist/Office Assistant at WMC-AP is responsible to the WMC Office Manager and to the Director of WMC.

Duties will include:

  • Answering and routing phone calls
  • Greeting all staff, clients, guests, and visitors
  • Conducting facility tours
  • Liaison to suppliers and printers
  • Assists in staff and coordinators travel needs
  • Maintaining contacts database
  • Maintaining statistics database
  • Managing digital resources
  • Manages and organizes office lobby and pantry

 

Qualifications:

To qualify for the Receptionist/Office Assistant position you must meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge in various computer applications such as Word, Excel and more.
  • Must be an active member of a Christian church.
  • Must have the ability to work well with individuals from different cultures.
  • Must have the ability to commute or travel to work in a timely manner.
  • Must not hold any other full-time position.
  • Must be outgoing, friendly, and organized
