How’s your marksmanship? When you set goals do you normally achieve them? On Today’s edition of Take Five we’ll give you tips on hitting your targets.  A very good day to you. This is Doug Flemming with another edition of Take Five, produced by the Church of the Nazarene. Let’s consider weapons of war as they apply to success in life. Sound like a strange combination, war and life? Well, as much as I hate fighting, warfare and weaponry, there is something to learn from modern military technology. During ongoing Iraq war, coalition  military forces unleashed smart bombs on Iraqi positions, striking nearly every target. How was this possible? These new missiles have a brain that identifies incoming radar signals. Once the computer locks onto the radar, it follows the beam straight to its source and NOTHING can distract it. So, how does this relate to successful living? Well, stay tuned to Take Five and I’ll give you some quick tips on reaching your goals…right after this tune from…..

It seems that those who are leaders in business, science, politics, even religion have an equal ability to identify a goal, lock onto it and follow it without distraction until their goals are accomplished. Friend, where’s your focus today? Do you want to be a leader, a visionary, to accomplish things in your life? Then focus on the incoming beam of God’s Spirit and follow His Beam without wavering.
