Have you made any good investments lately? Before you get out your calculator or contact your broker or read the financial section of the newspaper… I’m not talking about stocks and bonds, but about things which really matter? A good day to ya, this is Doug Flemming your investment consultant with another edition of Take Five, produced by the Church of the Nazarene. Friend please invest a few minutes in getting to know me better by sending me an email or text. My address is radio@wmc-ap.org. Whether you are rich or poor, you are making investments every day. The question is, what are you investing in? The temporary or the eternal? The words of Jesus remind us that wherever our treasure is, there will our hearts be also.Today’s Music: Treasure Island, Steven Curtis Chapman
Author Linda McGinn says that life is a constant reshuffling of priorities. We make decisions every day about what we will do and not do. But how do you decide your priorities? Do you seek God’s will through prayer? Do you read His Word for guidance? Your answers to these questions are the key in considering how to invest your life in things that matter. Perhaps you don’t have much money to save or invest. But you still make decisions on how to use your money. Are you using God’s blessings wisely or selfishly? God also gives you time and talent? Are you using your time and talent to serve others and honor God? Friend, I challenge you today to search God’s unchanging word, discover His truth, and apply it to your life. If you stay in tune with God’s Word; your treasures, time and talent will be wisely invested. May God bless you indeed.
